About the GoddessLilith is the feminine aspect of the creator. When she had finished creation she became curious about men and took on human form to become Adam’s first wife. He wanted to dominate Lilith. She would not become less than she was or accept domination and was rejected by Adam. As time passed and through the telling of the story, she became demonized and we rejected the feminine creator Goddess, in doing so, we created the world wide imbalance between masculine and feminine. Lilith turned this around, and in doing so she offers us another astonishing gift, that of holding the darker side, the shadow. She waits for us to find the courage to reflect on and know ourselves. When our shadow remains unknown to us it still has energy and will express itself; when brought into consciousness it becomes ours to do with as we choose. Lilith’s story focuses on humanity’s struggle between masculine and feminine, and our personal internal struggle between positive and negative. Lilith invites us not to struggle as if one aspect is better than another. She knows that all are equal, and personal acceptance leads to freedom of expression and joy in living. Be all you can be, be true to yourself, play and enjoy. | | | | |
